According to the “Product Quality Law of the People’s Republic of China”, “Interim Measures for the Administration of Product Quality Supervision and Spot Checks”, “Guangdong Province Product Quality Supervision Regulations” and other relevant regulations, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration has carried out quality supervision and spot checks of lamps and lighting products, sampling and inspection techniques The service work is undertaken by the Dongguan Quality Supervision and Testing Center of Guangdong Province, Weikai Technology Testing Co., Ltd., and Zhongshan Quality Metrology Supervision and Testing Institute. The relevant situation is announced as follows:

A total of 230 models in 6 categories, including indoor lighting fixtures, outdoor lighting fixtures and fixtures, decorative lights, special-purpose fixtures and lighting fixtures, electric light sources/lighting fixtures and lighting fixture parts, and other fixtures and fixtures produced by 146 companies this time The quality of lamps and lighting equipment products has been inspected and inspected, involving 8 cities in our province, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen, Jieyang, Zhongshan, and Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shandong, etc. 7 Provinces (municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

This spot check focuses on marking, structure, creepage distance and electrical clearance, grounding regulations, external wiring and internal wiring, protection against electric shock, dust, solid foreign matter and waterproof, insulation resistance and electrical strength, heat resistance, fire resistance and resistance 26 items including tracking, harmonic current, and disturbance voltage were inspected. After inspection, 82 products produced by 65 companies were found to be unqualified. The unqualified items mainly include: marking, structure, protection against electric shock, external wiring and internal wiring, creepage distance and electrical clearance, and 12 items such as dust, foreign matter and waterproof. For producers and sellers of unqualified products found in this spot check, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration will instruct the relevant prefectural and municipal market supervision administrations to comply with the provisions of the “Product Quality Law of the People’s Republic of China”, “Interim Measures for the Administration of Product Quality Supervision and Spot Checks,” and The relevant provisions of the State Administration of Market Supervision and the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration on supervision and spot checks shall be followed up.

One is to order producers to stop production and sales of the same overall product under supervision, conduct a comprehensive clean-up of inventory products, make corrections to products that have been sold within a time limit, and proactively publish relevant information;

The second is to notify the same product sellers in the province to stop selling or dispose of the same overall product under supervision according to law;

Third, products that are to be re-marketed after rectification need to be replaced with product packaging or a product conformity commitment mark;

Fourth, the market supervision and management department implements regular follow-up and spot checks on products that are promised to be rectified and qualified;

Fifth, the unqualified products and their producers and sellers shall be recorded in the quality supervision credit file, and the credit classification supervision shall be implemented.

The nominal production units and relevant sellers of the unqualified products involved in the notice shall implement the main responsibility for product quality and safety within 15 days from the date of this notice, organize production in strict accordance with the standards, and take the initiative to take off shelves or other measures to deal with unqualified products in accordance with the law.
