Singapore PSB Certification
PSB certification is a mandatory safety certification in Singapore. There is no requirement for electromagnetic compatibility. The PSB safety mark certificate is issued by the Singapore Product Standards Bureau. Singapore's consumer protection (safety specification) registration scheme requires that listed electrical products be required to apply for PSB certification. Before products enter Singapore, a company in Singapore must be the holder of the PSB application. Products can only be sold in Singapore after obtaining the PSB certification.
PSB certification features
1. The certificate holder is a local company in Singapore, no factory inspection and annual fee;
2. Validity period of the certificate: three years
3. If the product has a plug, an SS246 test certification report is required;
4. There is no "series" application for product certification (each certificate can only cover a single model)
Preparation of PSB certification materials
• CB certificate and test report valid within three years (English version only)
• Wiring diagrams and parts bill of materials (BOM)
• Architectural/Engineering Drawings and Parts List (Gas Units Only) Product Specifications
PSB Certification Process
1. "Certification Application Form"
2. Sign the contract; PSB may suggest that the company do a pre-audit 1 month before the formal audit (the fee is 20-30% of the formal audit)
3. Document review: review the application materials and documents submitted by the enterprise;
4. On-site audit
5. Take corrective/preventive actions for nonconformities in the on-site audit;
6. Issuance of certificates
Malaysia Sirim Certification
With the development of trade, buyers and consumers have increasingly higher requirements for product safety and quality. The Malaysian government stipulates that if products are regularly shipped to Malaysia, suppliers need to apply for product certification. In 1998, Malaysia promulgated a new Communications and Multimedia Act (Communications and Multimedia Act 1998), which made detailed regulations on the access conditions of Malaysia's telecommunications services and communications markets. At the same time, a new telecommunications regulatory body, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (CMC), was born. According to the "Communications and Multimedia Law", to put communication equipment on the market, it is necessary to apply to CMC or a certification body designated by CMC, carry out type certification, and obtain equipment certification and certification marks. The Communication Equipment Testing Section (CETS) under the jurisdiction of SIRIM is responsible for the specific certification of communication equipment type certification.
SIRIM is the only certification management organization in Malaysia. All electronic products entering Malaysia need to apply for SIRIM certification. In principle, the applicant should be a local institution in Malaysia. The application and management of SIRIM certification is specifically responsible for SIRIM QAS International, which issues SIRIM certificates.
Certified product range
Communication equipment and "Electrical Equipment Approval Regulations" stipulate that the following 31 types of products must be subject to mandatory type certification and safety certification respectively: plugs (below 15A), switches and dimmers, sockets (below 15A), fluorescent lamps and starter racks, Ceiling lamp wiring boxes, bayonet lamp sockets and multi-head adapters, fluorescent lamps (excluding separately imported lamps), capacitors for fluorescent lamps, fluorescent lamp ballasts, leakage protectors, electric water heaters (including separately imported heaters), hair dryers, Desk lamps, liquid heating appliances, electric irons, electric shavers, video mixers for kitchens, immersion heaters, hi-fi units, mosquito repellents, bread ovens, electric fans, televisions, vacuum cleaners, players, washing machines, refrigerators , rice cookers, Christmas lights, household power tools, wires and cables and other products are within the scope of voluntary certification
Factory Inspection Requirements
The first factory inspection must comply with the product certification system. Once it is complied with, a certificate will be issued. The certificate is valid for one year. In order to ensure the renewal of the certificate, the annual inspection must be subject to market supervision; complaints and appeals to NCB should be submitted in writing to SIRIM General Manager of QAS Certification and Inspection Services.
Thailand TISI certification
TISI is the abbreviation of Thai Industrial Standards Institute. TISI is formulated to formulate mandatory and voluntary Thai Industrial Standards (TIS). Thailand implements a TISI certification system that combines mandatory certification and voluntary certification. For products that meet the standards, the TISI logo is allowed to be used. For products that have not yet formulated standards, TISI also implements product registration as a temporary certification method.
TISI is not only the government authority for compulsory certification in Thailand, but also a standard setting and management agency, a certification agency, and a laboratory accreditation, personnel training and registration agency. It is worth noting that Thailand does not have a non-government mandatory certification body.
There are 60 categories of products required by the Thai government to implement compulsory certification, involving 8 fields, including: electrical equipment and accessories, medical equipment, building materials, consumer goods, vehicles, PVC pipes, LPG gas containers and agricultural products. In addition, the certification of other categories of products are voluntary certification.
TISI certification process
1. The customer provides product information and importer information;
2. The customer provides samples and test documents, and the laboratory arranges the test;
3. Confirm the factory inspection date, confirm the itinerary of the Thai engineer two weeks in advance and make relevant arrangements.
4. Follow up the progress of the test and the progress of the factory inspection report. After both are completed, the TISI certificate will be issued.
TISI certification mark requirements
1. Product name 2. IEC name 3. Production date 4. Manufacturer or supplier name 6. Rated capacity and rated voltage
Note: The corresponding Thai standard of this product must be indicated under the certification mark. The product nameplate cannot be marked with the certification mark before or during the application for the TISI certificate. After obtaining the TISI certificate, the product must be marked with the TISI certification mark and the name of the certificate holder. , and the merchant must put the safety label on the product before the product enters Thailand.
TISI certification application materials
1. Basic product information (including product name, model, specification, trademark)
2. Product technical information (including circuit diagram, layout, label, key parts list, manual, specification, etc.)
3. Product Photos
4. Factory ISO system certificate and quality control plan, flow chart, quality manual
