Introduction to CE/IEC/SAA mandatory certification standards for lighting products, come to know!

Recently, many customers have reported whether the certification standards of their lamps and lanterns have been updated, and whether the products will be seized by the customs because the standards on the certificate have not been updated. Now we have sorted out the common CE/IEC/SAA certification standards for lamp products. You can check whether the corresponding standards on your certificates have expired.



European CE certification


The "CE" mark is a mandatory certification mark, so if you want to sell in the EU market, you must apply for CE certification and affix the CE label. The directives related to lamp products mainly include LVD, EMC, RoHS, etc.

◆ CE-LVD certification

Ø LED drive

EN 61347-1:2015+A1:2021

◆ CE-EMC certification

EN IEC 55015:2019+A11:2020
EN 61547:2009
EN IEC 61000-3-2:2019+A1:2021
EN 61000-3-3:2013+A1:2019

International IEC certification
IEC, the International Electrotechnical Commission, covers 173 countries, including 86 official national members and 87 liaison national members. The certification authorities of each member state shall test the safety performance of electrical products based on IEC standards, and the IEC test report with qualified test results shall be mutually recognized in each member state.

Australia SAA certification
SAA is a mandatory safety certification project in Australia. All electrical products of Level 3 exported to Australia should be subject to SAA certification. Generally, products such as fixed lamps, embedded lamps, movable lamps, street lamps, and floodlights need to be subject to SAA certification.
