Some products are mandatory to have relevant certifications before they can be sold. Although some products are not mandatory, they will be certified if they have been certified. 1. FDA certification
According to regulations, all foods, drugs (including veterinary drugs), medical devices, food additives, cosmetics, animal food and drugs, wine beverages with an alcohol content of less than 7%, and electronic products that are produced in the United States or imported and sold in the United States must pass FDA inspection After the safety is proved, it can be sold on the market.
FDA certification is usually divided into traditional FDA registration, FDA testing and FDA evaluation
FDA registration: In order to ensure that manufacturers' products exported to the United States meet the local FDA requirements, companies are required to do a self-declaration guarantee process. After successful registration, you can check the registration information on the FDA official website.
FDA testing: FDA testing refers more to the safety testing of food contact materials, product contact packaging testing, biocompatibility testing of medical products, clinical safety testing, etc.
FDA evaluation: Take cosmetics as an example, mainly to evaluate the outer packaging and ingredient description.
2. CE certification
The "CE" mark is a safety certification mark and is regarded as a passport for manufacturers to open and enter the European market. CE stands for CONFORMITE EUROPEENNE. In the EU market, the "CE" mark is a compulsory certification mark. Whether it is a product produced by an EU enterprise or a product produced in another country, if you want to circulate freely on the EU market, you must affix the "CE" mark to indicate The product meets the basic requirements of the EU Directive "New Methods of Technical Coordination and Standardization". This is a mandatory requirement of EU law on products.
All products affixed with the "CE" mark can be sold in the EU member states, realizing the free circulation of goods in the EU member states. European general safety certification mark: communication equipment, electrical products, personal protective equipment, toys, etc. In European imports, inspections for children's products are becoming more and more stringent. Among them, children's products such as children's clothes and toys need to complete the certification of the children's directive in the CE certification.
3. ROHS certification
RoHS is a mandatory standard established by EU legislation. Its full name is "Restriction of Hazardous Substances" (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). The standard has been officially implemented on July 1, 2006, and is mainly used to standardize the material and process standards of electrical and electronic products, making it more conducive to human health and environmental protection. The purpose of this standard is to eliminate six substances including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in electrical and electronic products, and it specifically stipulates that the lead content cannot exceed 0.1%.
RoHS 2.0 (2011/65/EU) took effect on July 21, 2011, and was formally implemented on January 3, 2013 (2002/95/EC was abolished on the same day).
4. CPC certification
The issuing agency of Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) is responsible for testing the safety of children’s products. All children's toys and children's products sold on Amazon America must provide a children's product certificate.
CPC certification is applicable to all products targeted at children aged 12 and below, such as toys, cradles, children’s clothing, etc., if produced in the United States, the manufacturer is responsible for providing it, and if it is produced in other countries, the importer is responsible for it. provide. In other words, cross-border sellers, as "importers", want to sell products produced in Chinese factories to the United States, they need to provide a CPC certificate to Amazon as a retailer/distributor.
5. FCC certification
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is responsible for ensuring the safety of radio and wire communication products related to life and property. The certification is mainly for computers, computer accessories, fax machines, electronic devices, radio receiving and transmission equipment, radio remote control toys, telephones, and other products that may harm personal safety.

6. UL certification
Underwriter Laboratories Inc. (UL) is the most authoritative in the United States and the largest private organization engaged in safety testing and appraisal in the world. It specifically determines various materials, devices, products, equipment, buildings, etc. Whether life and property are harmed and the degree of harm. The certification is mainly for the safety of chargers, mobile power supplies, mobile phone batteries, lamps, household appliances, power tools, etc.
7. PSE certification
PSE certification is a mandatory safety certification for electrical appliances in Japan, and a mandatory market access system for electrical appliances in Japan. According to different products, PSE certification is divided into "specific electrical appliances" and "non-specific electrical appliances". The nameplate of the former is affixed with a diamond-shaped PSE logo, and the nameplate of the latter is affixed with a circular PSE logo.
Japan’s DENTORL Law (Electrical Device and Material Control Law) stipulates that 498 products must pass safety certification to enter the Japanese market. Among them, 165 types of A products shall obtain the diamond-shaped PSE mark, and 333 types of B products shall obtain the round PSE mark.
