Certification is a basic system to strengthen quality management and increase market delivery rate under market economy conditions. It is a third-party certification body with professional capabilities approved by the CNCA. After review, it issues publicity certificates to prove its product quality and service. The degree of compliance with relevant standards and technical specifications in the corresponding places such as quality, management performance, and human resources.

The English word for certification is certification, and its original meaning refers to an act of issuing certification documents. ISO/IEC Guide 2-1991 "General Terms and Definitions of Standardization and Related Activities" defines "certification" as "a procedure for a third party to give written assurance that a product, process or service meets the specified requirements". The main points of the definition can be summarized as follows: (l) The object of certification is a product, process or service; (2) Standards are the basis of certification; (3) Appraisal methods include quality random inspections, quality system audits and assessments; (4) Certification The certification methods include certification certificates and certification marks; (5) certification is an activity undertaken by a third party.

my country’s current certification types are mainly divided into: management system certification, service certification, product quality certification

Management system certification is divided into: ISO9000 quality management system certification; ISO14000 environmental management system certification; ISO45001 occupational health and safety management system certification; ISO27001 information security management system certification; HACCP food safety control system certification. (ISO system certification belongs to this category)

Product quality certification is divided into: CCC national compulsory certification; organic product certification, green food, green product certification, etc. (CE certification belongs to the European Union and will not be listed temporarily.)

The concept of quality management system certification and product quality certification

1. About certification
The definition of "certification" in ISO\IEC Guide 2 is: "The third party provides written assurance (certificate of conformity) for products, processes or services in accordance with procedures to comply with the specified requirements."

2. About the quality management system certification
Quality management system certification refers to the activities that the certification body inspects, evaluates, confirms and issues system certification to the organization's quality management system in accordance with the quality management system standards to prove that the organization's quality management system meets the requirements of the corresponding standards.

3. About product quality certification
The definition of Article 2 of Chapter 1 of the "Regulations on the Administration of Product Quality Certification of the People's Republic of China" is: "Product quality certification is based on product standards and corresponding technical requirements, confirmed by a certification body and issued certification certificates and certification marks to certify a product Activities that meet the corresponding standards and corresponding technical requirements".

Similarities between product quality certification and quality management system certification

It can be seen from the above definition that the biggest common point between product quality certification and quality management system certification is that both belong to the scope of certification, and both have the characteristics of independent third-party quality certification. Specifically speaking the similarities:

1. Both product quality certification and quality management system certification have the same certification characteristics as independent third-party quality certification.
2. All parties applying for certification must have the ability to provide products that meet the requirements of customers and applicable laws and regulations.

The difference between product quality certification and quality management system certification

1. Different certification objects
The main difference between quality management system certification and product certification is that the certification targets are different. The object of product certification is a specific product. It is necessary to conduct type testing on the product to determine whether the product quality meets the specified standard requirements, and also to evaluate the organization’s quality management system to evaluate whether the organization has quality assurance capabilities and whether it can be sustained and stable. Provide qualified products. The object of quality management system certification is the organization's quality management system, which only evaluates whether the organization's quality management capabilities meet the requirements of the certification standards.

2. Different certification basis
The quality management system certification is based on relevant national standards equivalent to the ISO9000 series of standards. Its function is to increase customers' trust in suppliers, increase orders, reduce customers' inspection and evaluation of suppliers, and help customers choose qualified suppliers. In addition to the quality management system requirements determined by the certification body, the basis for product certification also includes the technical basis, that is, the relevant national or industry product standards for the certified product.

3. The use of certificates and signs is different
The company’s quality management system certification only proves that its quality management level meets the requirements of the corresponding certification standards, and cannot prove that each batch of the company’s products is qualified. Therefore, the quality management system certification certificate can only be used for corporate publicity, not for use. In the products produced by the enterprise. The certification mark cannot be used for quality management system certification.

The object of product certification is a specific product. The company's product certification proves that its product meets the requirements of the corresponding product standard. Therefore, in addition to using the product certification certificate for publicity, the company can also use the certification body in accordance with the requirements of the certification body. The certification mark is used on the product.

Generally speaking, management system certification: focus on the process, mainly inspecting whether the process meets the requirements of the standard. For example, the quality management system standards require suppliers to be evaluated, design inputs to be reviewed, products and services to be inspected/verified before delivery, unqualified to avoid unexpected use, and so on. These are all process requirements. As long as these prescribed processes are effectively implemented, inspected and improved, a conclusion can be drawn that meets the system requirements.

CCC, CE and other product certifications: based on product standards, pay attention to production consistency, check whether the entire production process of the product is consistent with the final product, which means that you do not expect your product quality to be good, but require all products to be the same . In fact, all the content of product certification is carried out around the consistency of production.

The production process of a product will inevitably involve links such as procurement, design, manufacturing, labeling, inspection, and non-conformity disposal. If the process of these links is consistent, it can be ensured that the products produced are consistent. If there are any changes in these links, such as replacing better suppliers or accessories, adopting more complete designs, changing manufacturing processes, etc., it may lead to changes in the final product. In order to ensure consistency, these changes must be declared and Re-test by a third-party organization to verify that the changed product still meets the product standard.

In addition, the final product consistency test should be carried out regularly (for example, every year) to verify that the products are consistent during this period.

The above is the core content of product certification.

In addition, product certification is not all mandatory, CCC certification is mandatory, and CE certification is voluntary.

Service certification

Service certification includes our common product after-sales service evaluation system (some institutions also call five-star service or other star-rated service certification), and there are also many industry-specific service certifications, such as logistics service certification, property management service certification, and automobile maintenance services. Certification and so on.

The focus of service certification is mainly whether the company's customer satisfaction standards for after-sales or industry service processes are up to standard. It is a new type of certification system based on customer perception and focusing on organizational quality management and service characteristics. It is an important part of the national certification system. Its essential attribute is "transmitting trust and service development", which can be vividly called quality management "Physical Examination Certificate", "Letter of Credit" for market economy, "Passport" for international trade.
