Announcement on the Result of the 2nd Phase Certification Validity Spot Check in 2022

1. 1,562 batches of products involved in 18 certification bodies in the field of compulsory product certification (18 products such as wires and cables, baby carriages, and child safety seats) have been subject to random checks on the effectiveness of certification. The coverage rate of the certification bodies is 50%. It was found that 197 batches of sampled products did not meet the certification requirements.

2. 220 batches of products in the two product fields of low-voltage components and electric tools that have implemented the self-declaration evaluation method of compulsory product certification have been subjected to a random inspection of the validity of the certification. The random inspection found that 24 batches of sampled products did not meet the certification requirements.

3. The relevant information has been notified to the certification body, and the certification body has revoked 399 certification certificates for certified products that do not meet the certification requirements in accordance with relevant regulations. For the relevant products whose certification certificate has been revoked (see the attachment for details), the certification body will not accept the certification entrustment of the product within 6 months; Authorized representative) cannot declare the self-declaration again within 6 months.

4. Relevant certification agencies have been deployed to carry out certification quality traceability and inspection, requiring further strengthening of quality control, improving certification effectiveness, and reporting relevant inspection results and improvement measures to the State Administration for Market Regulation. For non-conforming products that have implemented the self-declaration evaluation method, the relevant producers (manufacturers, importers or sellers) should stop leaving the factory, import or sell the products corresponding to the self-declaration in accordance with relevant regulations, and conduct risk investigation and rectification implementation.
